Your Step-by-Step CSV Migration Process with Cart2Cart
Migrating your store data via CSV files with Cart2Cart is a structured and straightforward process. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth and accurate transfer of your e-commerce data.
Step 1: Choose Your Migration Service Package
Begin by selecting a Cart2Cart Data Migration Service Package that best fits your needs. Options range from Basic to Ultimate, offering varying levels of dedicated support and customization for your project size and complexity.
Step 2: Upload Your Source CSV File(s)
In the 'Source Store Info' section, select 'CSV File' as your source platform. You will then be prompted to upload the CSV file(s) containing your data exported from your original platform (e.g., Yahoo Store). Ensure your files are correctly formatted for optimal processing.
Step 3: Configure Your Target CSV Output
Next, navigate to the 'Target Store Info' and select 'CSV File' as your target platform. Here, you'll configure how your data should be structured in the output CSV file, ready for import into your new platform (e.g., ShopSite). This step ensures the output is compatible with your target system.
Step 4: Select Data Entities for Migration
On the 'Entities Selection' page, choose the specific data types you wish to migrate. This includes products, categories, customers, orders, and more. You have precise control over which information is transferred.
Step 5: Map Your Data Fields
In the 'Mapping Setup' section, you'll align the fields from your source CSV file to the corresponding fields required by your target CSV structure. This critical step ensures that data like product names, prices, customer details, and order statuses are correctly matched and transferred.
Step 6: Choose Additional Migration Options
Enhance your migration by selecting additional options. These features allow for advanced data handling, such as preserving order IDs, migrating SEO URLs, or transforming product quantities, ensuring a comprehensive data transfer.
Step 7: Run a Free Demo Migration
Before committing to a full transfer, execute a free demo migration. This allows you to transfer a limited set of data to a test environment or generate a sample target CSV, enabling you to review the results and confirm data accuracy and integrity.
Step 8: Launch Full Migration & Download
Once you are satisfied with the demo results, proceed to launch the full data migration. Cart2Cart will process all your selected data, and upon completion, you will be able to download the fully prepared CSV file(s) for import into your new ShopSite store.
