Your Step-by-Step Migration Journey to Zen Cart
Cart2Cart simplifies the complex process of moving your store data. Follow these straightforward steps to migrate your CSV data to Zen Cart:
Step 1: Connect Your Source Cart (CSV File)
Begin by selecting 'CSV File' as your Source Cart type in the Cart2Cart migration wizard. You will then be prompted to upload your CSV files containing your store data for various entities like products, customers, and orders. Our system will validate the files to ensure they are ready for migration.
Step 2: Connect Your Target Cart (Zen Cart)
Next, choose 'Zen Cart' as your Target Cart. Provide the URL of your Zen Cart store. For Zen Cart, the recommended connection method is typically to upload a Connection Bridge. Download the bridge files from Cart2Cart, unpack the archive, and upload the 'bridge2cart' folder to your Zen Cart store's root directory via FTP/SFTP. This establishes a secure connection for data transfer.
Step 3: Select Entities and Configure Additional Options
Once both carts are connected, you can select the specific data entities you wish to migrate, such as products, customers, and orders. Cart2Cart also offers a range of additional options to customize your migration, including preserving IDs, migrating images in descriptions, and more. Choose the options that best fit your needs.
Step 4: Run a Free Demo Migration
Before launching the full migration, we highly recommend performing a free Demo Migration. This transfers a limited number of entities (e.g., 10-20 products, customers, orders) to your Zen Cart test store, allowing you to review the results and ensure data accuracy and integrity. This step helps build confidence in the migration process.
Step 5: Launch Full Migration
Once you are satisfied with the demo results, proceed to launch the Full Migration. Cart2Cart will then transfer all your selected data from the CSV files to your Zen Cart store. You can monitor the progress in real-time on the Full Results Review Page, which provides detailed updates on each entity's transfer status.
